Barcode interface with Microsoft Great Plains Software: Microsoft Great Plains enhancements...DeltaOne Software has just released the first of its Microsoft Great Plains enhancements. This native Dexterity module adds UPC and case code management to Great Plains, plus the ability to scan Stock Count transactions.

These enhancements solve two major problems that Great Plains users face:

1. Using the Item number field for the UPC or case code is difficult. Our enhancement, separates the barcode from the Item Master table. When a barcode is scanned, it is transparently converted into the item number and the quantity is multiplied as if it is a case pack. You can have multiple barcodes for a single item number. Each barcode can have a packaging quantity as well as other descriptive information.

2. The second part of this enhancement is the ability to use portable barcode scanners to take stock counts. This greatly increases the accuracy and speed of taking cycle counts and physical inventories. The scanners can be used in either batch or real time (rf) mode. This enhancement works with lot and serial tracked items and can be used with the multi-bin module.

DeltaOne Software currently has an additional module, in beta testing, that handles Sales Orders, PO receipts, Manufacturer Orders, and Stock Transfers. This module will bridge the gap between hand entry and a full blown Warehouse Management System. These enhancements are a cost effective solution for most Great Plains users. Double Check Inventory Software: This inventory program is specifically designed for public warehouses. Double Check eliminates data entry and the errors associated with keying in information. The system allows you to designate specific locations and items to count. For public warehouses with multiple clients, this allows for an auditable physical inventory to be preformed for just one client. The system is based around Intemec's proven portable barcode terminals. Each item is counted twice, by different teams, to insure accuracy and prevent fraud. Double Check will report any variances in the counts and if one is found a recount is triggered.
